Glass and quartz glass processing
Based on our traditional values and experience regarding the thermal and mechanical processing of glass and our ability to develop highly-engineered production lines and systems, we can offer you a wide range of burners, tools and standard machines manufactured for superior glass specialist firms as well as complex process solutions, i.e. for the solar thermal glass tube production, the high-precision resizing of quartz glass tubes, the completely automated production of laboratory and lamp-glass and other specific applications for thermal glass processing.
Fiber Optics
We specialise in the development and implementation of bespoke solutions in the fields of quartz glass processing (primarily for fibre optic and semiconductor production), glass processing, silicon processing, and automation solutions for the aforementioned sectors.
Our portfolio includes preform preparation machines, MCVD and FCVD systems, horizontal and vertical overcladding systems, and specialised fibre drawing towers equipped with our own induction furnaces. We are also working on future developments such as bespoke OVD and rare-earth chelate systems.
Silicon
Our core competence in photovoltaics and semiconductor poly-Si processing is the mechanic cutting, notch-and roundgrinding, surface- and chamfergrinding, squaring, rod- and profilgrinding / polishing of silicon ingots.
Arnold can offer innovative, stand alone machines, as well as machines developed according to your individual requirements and specifications, such as complete processing centres and custom-tailored complete systems with an automatic linkage of all production processes and an intelligent assembly control system.
Automation
For more than 30 years we have been operating as partners of the automotive industry and its suppliers in the automation of production processes and production procedures. Our mission is a long-term and prosperous partnership with satisfied customers, due to innovative and future-orientated know-how.
Our team of automation technology specialists will plan and produce your customized system solution, for instance in the assembly automation for aggregate and carrier components, in the automatic assembly of cable looms in the foundry practice etc.

Arnold Group Honored with Siltronic’s “Excellence in Execution” Award!
At Siltronic AG’s Supplier Day 2026, the importance of strong, long-term partnerships was at the center of attention. As the wafer industry enters its next phase of growth, the event highlighted the significant contribution that trusted collaboration between manufacturers and suppliers can make to shared success. A total of 180 representatives from around 100 supplier companies from across the globe attended the event to exchange insights on current developments, shared challenges, and future opportunities.
In line with its corporate vision, “We create the foundation of your digital life,” Siltronic demonstrated the importance of close, collaborative partnerships across the entire value chain.
Such collaboration provides a vital foundation for driving innovation, sustainably strengthening competitiveness, and ensuring stable and reliable supply chains. The Supplier Day offered a valuable opportunity to further strengthen existing partnerships, encourage personal exchange, and work together to lay the groundwork for a successful future for the wafer industry.
A particular highlight of the event was the presentation of the Siltronic Supplier Awards 2026. Of the approximately 100 supplier companies represented, only six were recognized for their outstanding performance and successful collaboration with Siltronic. We are especially proud to have received the Excellence in Execution Supplier Award, making us one of the select partners honored for our achievements.

On August 1, 2016, he joined the Arnold Group, stepping into the rhythm of the milling machines as a machining mechanic in milling technology. He was never one for quiet tones – from day one, he brought full power, outstanding craftsmanship and genuine ambition. But because a true metalworker (in every sense of the word!) must always keep developing, he shifted into the next gear – and today, he rocks our production planning department.
With his in-depth expertise in mechanical engineering, he makes sure that, behind the scenes, all the strings are perfectly tuned and our processes run smoothly.
